Kitchen Wonder 101

Our Kitchen Wonder 101 classes are for children ages 5-11 with little or no experience. KW 101 is part food lab, part science experiment, and part cooking show. Kitchen Wonder is hands-on and helps to develop life skills, personal food interests, as well as the ability to work as part of a team. We keep our class to instructor ratios low so that there is plenty of individual attention. More importantly, we focus on building up fundamental skills while helping kids discover and explore their particular niche in cooking, be it math, science, creativity, etc.

Pre-C (Pre-Cooking)

We start food education early!  For our younger foodies, ages 2-4, check out our five-week Pre-C class. These kid-with-parent classes concentrate on food identification, gross motor skills, and sensory development through generally messy, sometimes silly, and always educative hands-on exercises.

Here’s what some of our parents have said about Hungry’s Pre-C classes:

I didn’t realize my toddler could be this capable in the kitchen yet! Now he’s helping with all kinds of meal prep at home, and I can already see a small change in my picky eater’s relationship with food. The Pre-C class has been a really great experience for us and we’re looking forward to taking future classes with Hungry!

Parent Seminars

Hungry believes that food education needs to be family-wide for the greatest impact. We offer parent seminars on priority topics like sugar consumption, picky eating, and transitioning to healthier diets. Our seminars are a combo of lecture, group exercises, helpful resources, and cooking demos. Looking for something food related for your Mom’s group, PTA meeting, or organization? Consider bringing in Hungry!
